They have the best soul food I've had n Philly so far. There are two women who greeted us when we walked in.The place smells really good and they have menus all over. The portions are great and the food was made in front of us. I got cornbread and carrot cake on the side to my macaroni and cheese with chicken and waffles. The food was perfect. Would definitely go back again.

“Good soul food is like a big hug” — That’s exactly how we felt while eating their fried fish and fried chicken today. Perfectly seasoned and fresh food.

Wife and i debate on whether we like the entree or the sides better. Was recommended the yams and it was 11/10 worth it. Greens had some heat, but none of the bitterness. Don’t even need to question the mac and cheese or the green beans. Full of flavor in every bite.

Stumbled upon this place as we’re exploring the Fairmount area, and so glad we did. The workers were super helpful from ordering to getting sauces as we left. Definitely will come back when in the area!

Excellent food! Great customer service! Authentic soul food full of flavor! The red velvet pancakes, fried fish, omeletes, shrimp & grits, and home fries/potatoes were a part of our brunch menu and everybody left happy! I've used them several times and they have never disappointed! I will be back again and again and again! Great choice if you are in Philadelphia looking for good food at a good price!

Sy Palace is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family—and then the food takes it to a whole new level. Every bite tastes like love, tradition, and pure Southern comfort. The fried chicken is perfectly seasoned, the mac and cheese is creamy and rich, and don’t even get me started on the collard greens and cornbread—mouthwatering!

You can taste the care and heart that goes into every dish. Whether you’re picking up a plate or dining in, Sy Palace delivers every time. It’s no exaggeration to say this is the best soul food in the city. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. Run, don’t walk!

Baby! This food is amazing and trust I don’t say that too freely…lol. We got the Boo Tray and it was so worth it! It comes with 4 Sides and 2 meats and fed our family of 5. We got 2 types of Turkey wings, Greens, Fried cabbage, Mac and cheese and Yams. We also got a separate platter of the teriyaki turkey wings, Mac and cheese and yams. The meat was falling off the bone, the greens and cabbage were well seasoned, the Mac and cheese was cheesy how I like it and the yams were not overly sweet, they were just right. The service was great! The owner was very nice and so was the gentleman who took our order, they only down side it that it was super hot inside so we waited in the car. We also got 2 of the juices, I liked the blue one over the red one. These portions were well worth the money! We will definitely be back!
